Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled MRI Technologist to join our Clinical Radiology Department at Maine Medical Center. As an MRI Technologist, you will be responsible for performing and assisting with Magnetic Resonance Imaging procedures. This is an entry-level position that requires competence in performing basic MRI exams.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform and assist with MRI procedures, ensuring high-quality images and patient safety
  • Operate and maintain MRI equipment, adhering to safety protocols and guidelines
  • Communicate effectively with radiologists, patients, and other healthcare professionals
  • Develop and implement imaging protocols, ensuring optimal image quality and patient care
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives, contributing to the advancement of MRI technology and patient care
Requirements
  • Eligible for certification in MRI by the ARRT
  • BLS certified
  • Minimum experience: demonstrated competence in MR imaging as obtained through clinical training as part of education in an accredited program in MRI Technology
  • Preferred experience: 1 year of experience as an MRI Technologist in a hospital setting
