Job Summary

RAYUS Radiology is seeking a skilled Radiologic Technologist to join our team. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging team, you will be responsible for operating scanners to produce high-quality images of patients' bodies for diagnostic purposes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Patient Radiologic Imaging
    • Screen patients before exams to identify any precautions or contraindications, using two patient identifiers to ensure correct patient and procedure.
    • Explain and prepare patients for radiologic imaging procedures, explaining the procedure and positioning patients for optimal imaging.
    • Perform routine and advanced radiologic imaging procedures on designated body parts, providing patient support and talking to patients throughout the procedure.
    • Adjust scan parameters correctly and as needed, utilizing dose reduction techniques as appropriate.
    • Maintain positive working relationships with radiologists, customers, and other associates and peers.
    • Follow physicians' orders precisely and conform to safety regulations to protect patients, coworkers, and yourself.
    • Accurately maintain patient records within the Radiology Information System (RIS).
    • Maintain an orderly and clean work area, promoting good safety habits for patients and coworkers.
    • Maintain ACR toolkit and accreditation requirements.
    • Maintain equipment in good working order, cleaning and disinfecting equipment after each use.
    • Ensure compliance with all HIPAA guidelines.
    • Work with a Fluoroscopy C-Arm in surgical and outpatient procedures.
    Additional Responsibilities
    • Assist with maintaining an updated imaging protocol manual and software upgrades.
    • Monitor medical supply inventory and request supplies as necessary.
    • Assist with training of new associates, providing resource and technical expertise as applicable.
