Key Responsibilities:As a Facilities Maintenance Engineer at Hines, you will oversee the operational integrity and upkeep of all building systems and equipment. Your role will involve routine assessments and collaboration with your Supervisor to address any operational anomalies. Key responsibilities include:
- Conducting preventive maintenance and repairs on mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems, including pumps, chillers, boilers, and air handling units.
- Adjusting HVAC systems to ensure compliance with established operational standards.
- Performing general repairs and maintenance on building fixtures, plumbing, and electrical systems.
- Participating in water treatment chemical programs as established for the property.
- Maintaining accurate logs and records related to central plant operations and equipment inspections.
- Utilizing expertise in HVAC distribution and controls to address work orders effectively.
- Responding promptly and courteously to tenant requests, adhering to Hines’ service standards.
- Fostering professional relationships with contractors and tenants.
- Collaborating with the operational team to ensure a cohesive working environment.
- Demonstrating proficiency in emergency procedures, including evacuation protocols and life safety system management.
- Ensuring compliance with all safety regulations and participating in ongoing training.
Minimum qualifications include:
- A high school diploma or equivalent from an accredited institution.
- Two years of experience in commercial HVAC or a related field.
- Successful completion of Hines’ Introduction to Engineering training program.
- Proficiency in using testing equipment and basic hand tools.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and instructions.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Basic computer skills for managing engineering programs.
- Ability to maintain composure in emergency situations.
- Compliance with city and government licensing requirements when applicable.
The compensation range for this position is $53,040 - $66,300, along with eligibility for a 3% bonus pool.
