Key Responsibilities- Coordinate and facilitate safety training and incentive programs to promote a culture of safety and compliance.
- Maintain statistical information on costs and frequency of accidents and near-misses, and perform thorough investigations to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
- Manage safety personnel and consultants, including developing and implementing project-specific safety plans, conducting jobsite visits and safety audits, and providing resources and solutions for environmental and hazardous material issues.
- Develop and maintain safety training programs, including first aid training and tracking of said training for project personnel.
- Oversee the site's craft/hourly drug testing program and ensure compliance with federal and state regulations.
- Represent the Company at meetings of safety professionals, alliances, and associations to stay up-to-date on industry best practices and regulatory requirements.
- Bachelor of Science in Safety and Environmental Health or Construction Management/Engineering Degree.
- 5 years or more of commercial construction safety experience required, with a minimum of 2 years of supervisory experience.
- Demonstrates proficiency using a personal computer (PC) and company communication tools, such as email, internet, and Microsoft products (e.g., Word, Excel, Office, Outlook).
- OSHA 30 required.
- OSHA Outreach Trainer certification.
- Commercial construction safety experience.
