Job Title: Principal Technical Consultant, Health and Safety

We are seeking a highly skilled Principal Technical Consultant, Health and Safety to join our team at Environmental Resources Management (ERM).

About the Role:

This is a key position that requires a deep understanding of health and safety regulations, as well as business processes. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical capability and the ability to design and implement innovative approaches to address complex technical and regulatory issues.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and manage behavior and performance outcome-focused approaches and programs for clients with complex technical and regulatory issues.
  • Design and implement corporate health and safety strategies and programs, including behavior-based safety, compliance auditing, safety management systems, and risk management.
  • Conduct training, field coaching, and assessment for safety performance improvement projects.
  • Support environmental, health and safety compliance, environmental management system, sustainability, due diligence transaction, and environmental compliance programs.
  • Interact with ERM offices to generate proposals and coordinate projects.
  • Perform multiple projects within scope, budget, and schedule expectations, ensuring quality standards on project deliverables.
Requirements:
  • BS/MS in safety, occupational health, engineering, or related science degree.
  • 12+ years of relevant experience in working with significant industrial clients on regulatory compliance and sustainable health and safety compliance programs.
  • Certification in a relevant field, such as CSP, CIH, PE, or similar registration, is highly desirable.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to communicate effectively.
  • Recognized technical expertise and established reputation in the local marketplace.
  • Ability and willingness to travel.
