About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to lead our finance and accounting function in our Mergers and Acquisitions team. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for driving the preparation and accuracy of financial statements, coordinating and managing the month-end and year-end financial close process, and overseeing internal controls and compliance with all applicable accounting policies and procedures.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and oversee all aspects of the finance and accounting function for our company.
  • Drive the preparation and accuracy of financial statements, including SEC reporting and compliance with GAAP and SOX 404 requirements.
  • Coordinate and manage the month-end and year-end financial close process, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.
  • Oversee internal controls and ensure compliance with all applicable accounting policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate with external auditors to facilitate the annual audit process and maintain strong working relationships.
  • Manage and mentor a tenured and qualified finance/accounting team, fostering a positive and motivated work environment.
  • Advise on financial strategies, risk management, and long-term financial planning to support business growth and success.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and effective decision-making.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. CPA designation is highly preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in accounting and finance roles.
  • Proven experience leading a finance/accounting team in a company's aggressive growth period.
  • Thorough knowledge of GAAP, SEC reporting, and SOX 404 compliance.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with various stakeholders.
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Experience working with external auditors and managing the audit process.
  • Proficient in financial software and ERP systems.
