Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Nurse Practitioner to join our Cardiac Service Line at JSUMC. The ideal candidate will possess strong clinical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a passion for delivering high-quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide medical assessments, treatments, and clearances for applicants, team members, and external customers.
  • Perform clinical care professionally, serving as a customer advocate and role model.
  • Develop and implement appropriate plans of care, facilitating patient teaching and support programs.
  • Evaluate current protocols and standards of care, supporting the development of evidence-based practice protocols and standards of care.
  • Apply evidence and value-based practices to achieve positive outcomes for patients.
  • Prescribe medications and/or recommend over-the-counter medications as appropriate.
  • Initiate laboratory tests, immunizations, and diagnostic tests/procedures as necessary.
  • Collaborate with physicians and consult effectively with other members of the healthcare team.
  • Provide accurate, systematic, and organized documentation of findings, recommendations, and education.
  • Participate in continuing education and maintain documentation, developing a personal plan of development in area of clinical expertise.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an NLN/AACN accredited program in nursing.
  • Masters Degree.
  • Maintains clinical competencies through participating in continuing educational programs and clinical practice as mandated by Board of Nursing and national certification body.
  • Experience in relevant patient care setting or as regulations dictate.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Masters Prepared Advanced Practice Nurse.
  • Minimum of 3 years professional experience.
  • Strong organizational and computer skills.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Emotional intelligence, critical thinking, and effective interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to adapt to multiple and changing priorities.
  • Valid Driver's license.
