We are seeking a skilled Facilities Technician to join our team at Friends of Youth. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing the buildings, facilities, utility systems, equipment, and grounds.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Schedule day-to-day facility operations, including maintenance, repairs, upgrades, work requests, and emergency situations.
  • Utilize working knowledge of carpentry, painting, plumbing, and machinist work.
  • Oversee the work of third-party vendors and subcontractors.
  • Monitor and inspect buildings and premises for fire, security, and health and safety issues, recording findings and providing recommendations for improvement.

You will also be responsible for ensuring work areas are clean and up to regulatory standards, complying with Labor and Industry and Health and Safety standards.

The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to the values of diversity, equity, and inclusion, and will demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills.
