Aerospace Test Engineering Specialist

The estimated salary range for this position is $86,430 - $129,645 per year.
About the Position:The Aerospace Test Engineering Specialist will be responsible for planning, directing, and coordinating the work activities and resources necessary for manufacturing test support products and services for internal and external customers.
Main Responsibilities:- Protect, maintain, and optimize company assets under your supervision.
- Execute organizational objectives by managing and guiding individual contributors.
- Develop and mentor technical experts through one-on-one meetings and project assignments.
- Build a talent pipeline of skilled technical personnel.
- Lead test resources staff to ensure equipment fabrication and repairs meet quality standards and company objectives; develop standard work and procedures as needed.
- Oversee equipment repairs, prioritize workflows, and ensure quality, minimal downtime, and proper allocation of resources.
- Assign tests, compile performance and technical data, and recommend improvements to testing equipment, procedures, or manufacturing processes.
- Act as a technical resource for Production and Repair Station Test Technicians, ensuring equipment and test support to meet production goals.
- Assist with budget planning and procurement of new equipment and materials to support facility and production needs.
- Provide oversight for calibration and maintenance processes, offering guidance and enforcing policies.
- Monitor inventory and procure repair parts and supplies while managing costs effectively.
- Ensure team alignment with company policies, values, and behaviors.
- Make timely and critical decisions to maintain business flow.
- Bachelor's degree in related technical field preferred.
- Demonstrates technical competence and direct supervisory/lead experience in a related field. Typically, 3+ years of proficiency in the duties and responsibilities of the role, as demonstrated through relevant skills or practical experience.

- Demonstrated competency regarding risks associated with high power systems.
- Knowledge of circuit boards, processors, chips, electronic components and equipment, and computer hardware and software, including applications and programming.
- Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance.
- Experience with Office suite software.
