Position: Regional Technical Support Manager (RTSM)

The RTSM position is centered around delivering on-site technical assistance for Hayward pool products and dealers, working closely with District Sales Managers (DSMs) and other stakeholders.

  • Formulate market-oriented strategies alongside DSMs for post-sale support.
  • Establish and oversee a network of service providers for the maintenance and repair of Hayward products.
  • Serve as a local and corporate liaison for product evaluation and feedback.

Key Responsibilities

Local Strategy Development

Partner with DSMs to devise and implement targeted strategies aimed at enhancing sales and elevating service quality.

  • Focused recruitment and training initiatives for service providers.
  • Facilitate regular business review sessions with DSMs.
  • Maintain a prioritized customer list for tailored service.

Local Management & Resource Coordination

Oversee a network of service providers by assessing requirements, delivering training, and addressing escalated issues. Support trade customers through travel, training events, and industry exhibitions, while also representing the corporate presence for Technical Services.

  • Engage proactively with customers to resolve service-related challenges.
  • Act as a point of escalation for customer inquiries.
  • Conduct on-site visits for repairs and educational purposes.

This role necessitates frequent travel, including potential overnight stays, thus requiring a central location within the designated area.

Qualifications

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

  • Required: high school diploma, with a minimum of 3 years of technical experience in the pool industry.
  • Preferred: a 4-year degree or equivalent experience in the pool sector.

Skills:

  • In-depth knowledge of swimming pool products and their technological applications.
  • Proficient in collaboration, innovation, and data analysis.

Abilities:

  • Strong project management, negotiation, problem-solving, and teamwork capabilities.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

This position involves physical activity during site visits, which may include standing for extended periods, utilizing tools, lifting heavy items, and demonstrating equipment installations to clients.
