Position Summary
As a Construction Manager, your role will involve overseeing and directing construction initiatives from start to finish. You will be tasked with ensuring projects are delivered on schedule, within financial parameters, and meet the established quality benchmarks. Key Responsibilities
- Formulate project plans, encompassing timelines, schedules, and resource distribution.
- Collaborate with architects, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure clarity and adherence to project specifications.
- Set project milestones and track progress against established goals.
- Manage project budgets, including cost estimation, expense tracking, and financial forecasting.
- Identify opportunities for cost reduction and implement strategies to maintain budget compliance.
- Review and authorize expenditures, invoices, and modifications.
- Lead and oversee construction teams, including subcontractors and site personnel.
- Delegate tasks effectively to facilitate seamless project execution.
- Provide mentorship and support to team members, addressing conflicts or challenges as they arise.
- Ensure that construction activities meet quality standards and comply with applicable regulations.
- Conduct regular inspections and quality assessments to identify and rectify any issues.
- Implement quality assurance measures to uphold high standards throughout the project lifecycle.
- Promote and enforce safety protocols on-site.
- Conduct safety training sessions to minimize risks and injuries.
- Address safety concerns promptly and take necessary corrective actions.
- Act as the primary liaison for project stakeholders, including clients and regulatory bodies.
- Effectively communicate project status, milestones, and challenges to stakeholders through regular updates.
- Respond to stakeholder inquiries and concerns in a professional and timely manner.
Qualifications
- At least 4 years of experience as a Field Construction Manager.
- Strong understanding of construction processes.
- Exceptional organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, fostering collaboration within a team environment.
- Familiarity with Procore or a willingness to learn.
- Proficient in MS Office Suite.
- Knowledge of construction contracts, regulations, and safety standards.
- Strong problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and forward-thinking abilities.
- Experience in delivering outstanding customer service to clients and team members.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in high-end residential construction.
- Bachelor's degree in construction management.
- General Contractor's license.
