Position Overview:
The Electrician will serve as a proficient technician focused on the ongoing enhancement of maintenance, fabrication, and repair of process equipment. Candidates must possess relevant experience and be available for overtime as necessary. The Electrician is expected to uphold safety-conscious practices throughout all operational procedures, adhering to customer safety regulations and policies. Responsibilities include diagnosing, replacing, or repairing equipment components using the appropriate tools and materials. Key tasks involve inspections, troubleshooting, repairs, fabrication, and component replacement. Problem-solving skills are essential, including the ability to interpret technical drawings and publications when required.
Job Title: Electrician - Southeast Region
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Journeyman Electrician
- Effective communication skills in English, both verbal and written, particularly on technical subjects
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and mechanical drawings
- Valid Driver's License is mandatory
- Proficient in conduit bending techniques
- Knowledge of lock-out/tag-out safety procedures
- Capability to work independently
- Possession of a complete set of electrical and fabrication tools suitable for maintenance and repair tasks
Physical and Job Site Requirements:
- Ability to complete electronic hiring paperwork
- May require lifting and carrying items weighing up to 50 pounds
- Must have sufficient strength and stamina to perform essential technical duties
- Ability to navigate confined spaces and uneven terrain
- Full range of motion appropriate for age
- Capability to climb and maintain balance on ladders
- Ability to hear and respond to voice commands and alarms
- Visual acuity and depth perception necessary for working at heights and on uneven surfaces
- Safety footwear is required
