Key Responsibilities
  • Clean and maintain classrooms, offices, hallways, and other areas of the building
  • Perform general clean-up work, including collecting garbage, rubbish, and recyclables
  • Assist in the maintenance and patching of roads, sidewalks, and parking lots
  • Operate power-driven tools and equipment, such as saws, compressors, and lawn mowing equipment
  • Perform ground maintenance and beautification work, including trimming shrubs, cutting brush, and planting flowers
  • Assist with painting and unskilled carpentry tasks
  • Perform minor mechanical maintenance or equipment repairs
Requirements
  • High school graduate or equivalent
  • Working knowledge of practices, tools, and materials used in cleaning, minor maintenance, and repair of buildings and equipment
  • Self-starter, able to work alone
  • Fingerprint clearance through New York State Office of School Personnel Review and Accountability
