About The Role

As a key member of our retail team, the Asset Protection Specialist plays a vital role in ensuring the safety and security of our stores, employees, and customers. Reporting to the Sr. Manager, Retail and Sales Asset Protection, this role is responsible for implementing security measures, conducting audits, and investigating incidents to prevent losses and maintain a secure environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the development and implementation of safety and security processes and procedures, including business continuity plans.
  • Utilize CCTV to review video footage for safety and investigations, and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to bring cases to closure.
  • Participate in weekly inventory cycle counts and work with inventory operations to reconcile inventory variances.
  • Conduct daily, weekly, and monthly audits to ensure adherence to Asset Protection policies and procedures, and identify areas for improvement.
  • Serve as a key holder and be responsible for the physical security of the building, including off-hour alarm responses.
  • Train and guide current and new team members on AP processes and systems, and ensure proper compliance.
  • Collaborate with the store team to support total business needs and Asset Protection initiatives.
  • Investigate industry trends, understand market conditions, and develop AP strategies to stay ahead of the competition.
  • Identify and document internal and external theft incidents.

Requirements:
  • 1+ year of Asset Protection or Security experience.
  • Strong understanding of physical security, including CCTV, EAS, alarms, access control, and lock and key.
  • Ability to work well with all levels of management within the company.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision and be a self-starter.
  • Ability to adapt to shifting priorities.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Proven ability to work within a team.
  • Ability to stand for up to 8 hours at a time.
  • A customer-focused mindset with a drive to provide a warm and welcoming environment.
  • Open availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
  • Ability to respond to alarm company calls and be available after hours as needed.

Preferred Requirements:
  • 1+ year of Asset Protection or Security experience in a Retail store setting.
