Position Overview

Shaner Hotels is on the lookout for a dedicated Corporate E-Commerce Manager to enhance its Corporate E-commerce team. This full-time role will focus on implementing vital E-commerce initiatives for a collection of properties across the United States within the Shaner hotel portfolio. The successful candidate will report directly to the Vice President of E-Commerce and will have the flexibility to work remotely, with occasional travel to various hotel locations or the Corporate Office. Key Responsibilities
  • Search Engine Optimization (SEO) Initiatives
    • Develop optimized content for both brand and independent websites.
    • Enhance online profiles across platforms such as Google, Trip Advisor, and Yelp.
    • Identify local linking opportunities to boost visibility.
    • Ensure consistent and accurate UNAP information across the internet.
  • Collaborate closely with Operations, Sales, and Revenue Management to align E-commerce strategies with revenue-generating initiatives.
  • Social Media Management
    • Implement advertising campaigns to increase engagement on social media platforms.
    • Create compelling content for all social media channels.
    • Oversee and respond to reviews and user-generated content across all platforms.
  • Oversee and execute performance media strategies, including Expedia TravelAds and GDS Advertising.
  • Manage email marketing campaigns through both brand and proprietary platforms.
  • Explore online merchandising opportunities available through brand sites and third-party channels.
  • Assist properties in managing their online reputation through platforms like Trip Advisor and Google.
  • Conduct audits of Online Travel Agencies (OTAs) to ensure accurate information is displayed and to maximize content scores.
  • Deliver quarterly and monthly progress reports to property management, ownership, and the corporate executive team.
Qualifications
  • A minimum of three years of experience in E-Commerce management.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Proficient knowledge of social media and digital marketing practices.
  • Strong attention to detail and effective project management skills.
  • Excellent relationship management and interpersonal skills.
  • Willingness to travel to hotel locations or the Corporate Office as required.
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
  • A Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, Business, or a related field is preferred.
