RF Engineer Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled RF Engineer to join our team at RFI Technology Solutions. As an RF Engineer, you will play a key role in designing, developing, and implementing wireless communication systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Participate in engineering activities, including equipment installation, configuration, testing, commissioning, and documentation.
  • Liaise with salespeople, end-user customers, equipment distributors, consultants, and network operators to ensure seamless communication and project delivery.
  • Prepare and cost RF design proposals for non-cellular Distributed Antenna Systems (DAS), AM/FM/VHF/UHF Rebroadcast Systems, multicoupler combining, filtering solutions, and antenna systems.
  • Conduct Radio Frequency (RF) cascade analysis and make recommendations for improvement/design.
  • Digitally test Radio Frequency (RF) spectrum design to ensure viability.
  • Integrate with other subsystems across a range of wireless technologies, but mostly focused on the VHF/UHF two-way radio spectrum.
Requirements:
  • Degree qualified with three years plus experience in RF engineering activities.
  • Knowledge and experience in RF concepts, technologies, and product applications.
  • Experience in two-way radio systems design, wiring small audio/data/cabling/connectors, etc.
  • Understanding of multicoupling, filtering solutions, and antenna systems.
  • Extensive computer experience.
  • Experience with RF propagation or other RF engineering software tools ideal.
  • Ability to liaise with sales, end users, distributors, and network operators.
  • Results-oriented and strong attention to detail.
  • Strong written/verbal communication skills.
  • Flexibility to work outside hours.
