Role Summary:
As an Environmental Services Technician, you will be responsible for a variety of tasks related to the cleanliness and upkeep of the hospital. Your primary goal will be to ensure the highest standards of service are maintained at all times. This includes cleaning offices, patient rooms, guest areas, restrooms, hallways, food service zones, and any other areas requiring attention.
Essential Duties:
- Ensure the cleanliness and appearance of corridors, patient floors, and public spaces.
- Maintain the cleanliness of walls, doors, baseboards, windows, stairwells, and elevator tracks adjacent to corridors on a daily basis.
- Remove any equipment left in corridors, such as beds and linen carts, to facilitate smooth passage for transporters with patients.
- Operate and maintain all cleaning equipment effectively.
- Communicate efficiently with hospital staff and supervisors.
- Demonstrate reliability and dependability in your role.
Qualifications
Education and Experience:
- One (1) year of experience in acute care hospital environmental service techniques, practices, and procedures is preferred.
- High School Diploma or Equivalent is preferred.
- Ability to read, understand, and communicate effectively is essential.
