Position Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled individual to join the System One team as a Pulp Mill Operations Supervisor. This role is a permanent, onsite opportunity that involves overseeing the daily operations of the Pulping department.

Key Responsibilities
- Ensure safety leadership and compliance for all employees during shifts, fostering a culture of safety within the team.
- Conduct daily safety interactions with each team member to promote a safe working environment.
- Monitor environmental compliance on an hourly basis, adhering to all safety precautions related to mill chemicals and understanding the associated hazards.
- Manage operations to meet internal customer requirements for bleached pulp in a safe and cost-effective manner.
- Supervise a team of approximately 12-15 hourly employees, ensuring adequate coverage and tracking attendance.

Operational Duties
- Implement and uphold all systems, policies, and procedures to maintain operational efficiency.
- Maintain positive relations with union representatives by adhering to the collective bargaining agreement.
- Provide training, counseling, and disciplinary actions as necessary, in line with formal agreements.
- Participate in production, safety, and other relevant meetings to enhance team performance.
- Hold all team members accountable for their responsibilities and conduct.
- Coordinate operations and maintenance activities, ensuring effective communication with other supervisors and management.
- Oversee the operation of key equipment including the Woodyard, Digesters, Chemi-washer/Brown Stock, R8 Generator, Bleach Plant, Kiln, Recaust, and Incinerator.

Qualifications
- 1-3 years of experience in a pulp mill, paper mill, or similar industry.
- A Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent operational experience.
- Proficient computer skills and strong interpersonal abilities to manage confrontational situations effectively.
- Demonstrated problem-solving skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks while organizing team efforts.
- Must possess integrity, self-motivation, and a driven attitude.
