Job Responsibilities

The Property Leasing Consultant reports directly to the Leasing Manager and acts as the primary liaison for residents and potential residents interested in renewing or initiating a lease. Key responsibilities encompass all aspects of leasing, including but not limited to: engaging with residents and prospects, managing walk-in inquiries, conducting property tours, generating lease documentation, and finalizing lease agreements. Additionally, the Consultant will support the Leasing Manager in organizing resident events, leasing initiatives, assisting with move-ins, and ensuring excellent resident relations through outstanding customer service. Compliance with all relevant state, federal, and local Fair Housing laws is also a critical responsibility.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Warmly welcomes visitors, both prospective and current residents.
  • Provides potential residents with informational materials and tours of available units.
  • Consults with prospective residents to ascertain their needs and budget, matching them with suitable floor plans. Engages in sales activities via phone, online, and in-person interactions.
  • Conducts background and credit checks as directed by the Leasing Manager.
  • Prepares lease documentation for the Leasing Manager’s review and secures necessary signatures.
  • Coordinates move-in logistics and processes as instructed.
  • Manages lead follow-up with residents and prospects in accordance with company standards.
  • Maintains a comprehensive understanding of the local market.
  • Participates in daily property operations, ensuring the community is well-maintained and visually appealing.
  • Assists with administrative tasks including recordkeeping and paperwork as needed.
  • Fosters positive resident relations through exceptional service.
  • Assists with property inspections prior to move-ins and other related duties as assigned.
Compensation

We offer a competitive compensation package that includes a salary based on experience, bonus opportunities, health, dental, and vision insurance, life and disability insurance, a 401k plan, paid time off, paid holidays, and flexible spending accounts.

Hourly Wage: Approximately $20.00 or based on experience, plus leasing commissions.
