Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Data Analyst Co-op to join our team at Abiomed, a leading provider of medical devices. As a Data Analyst Co-op, you will play a critical role in supporting our production planning and inventory strategy development, analyzing production data to identify opportunities for improvement, and developing business analytics to inform decision-making.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support production planning and inventory strategy development to meet business requirements.
  • Develop production analytics capabilities and outputs to proactively identify opportunities and issues.
  • Support the monthly Global S&OP process through data alignment, reporting, analytics, and scenario development.
  • Develop and provide KPI reports on metrics such as overtime, productivity, yields, utilization, etc.
  • Develop business analytics to enable identification, prioritization, and justification of improvement programs that optimize production planning.
Requirements
  • Junior, Senior, or Grad student pursuing a degree in Engineering, Data Science, Computer Science, or other related discipline.
  • Prior work experience desired, with medical device experience preferred.
  • Familiarity with visualization tools (e.g., Domo, Tableau, Looker, Qlik, MSPower BI) in data analysis preferred.
  • Ability to communicate ideas and information clearly, effectively, and frequently (oral and written).
  • Execute tasks in a timely manner without direct supervision, with the ability to prioritize tasks.
