Job Summary

HAC Retail is seeking a highly skilled Relief Pharmacist to join our team. As a Relief Pharmacist, you will play a critical role in providing exceptional customer service and ensuring the smooth operation of our pharmacy department.

Key Responsibilities

  • Float to assigned HAC Retail stores to provide relief and support to the pharmacy team
  • Travel to stores outside the OKC Metro area as needed
  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the pharmacy department, ensuring accurate and efficient dispensing of prescriptions
  • Perform quality assurance checks to ensure technical accuracy and compliance with company guidelines
  • Report dispensing incidents in a timely manner and maintain confidentiality of patient information
  • Relies on experience and professional judgment to plan and accomplish assigned tasks and goals
  • Ensure outstanding customer service is consistently delivered by all employees
  • Manage and balance pharmacy inventory to maximize turns and maintain stock levels
  • Oversee the transmission, processing, and receiving of orders from wholesalers and suppliers
  • Ensure prescription files and manual records are maintained in accordance with state and federal guidelines
  • Work collaboratively with the pharmacy manager to meet or exceed budgetary sales guidelines and operating within established parameters
  • Actively participate in company initiatives to increase pharmacy profitability
  • Comply with state and federal drug laws, as well as HAC Retail pharmacy policies and procedures
  • Ensure in-store pharmacy technology is utilized to its fullest potential to maximize return on investment
  • Maintain a clean and professional environment
  • Ensure all loss prevention policies are followed by employees and report deviations to Loss Prevention

Requirements

  • Strong customer service and communication skills
  • Certified Immunizer
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word
  • Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy or Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm D) degree accredited by the Accreditation Council of Pharmacy Education (ACPE)
  • Continuing Education as required by the Oklahoma State Board of Pharmacy
  • Oklahoma Preceptor License (Required when eligible for license)
  • 1 year of Pharmacist experience (Preferred)

Work Environment/Physical Demands

  • Constantly operates a computer and computer printer
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time
  • Lifting of items up to 50 lbs
