The Biomedical Equipment Technician III at MultiMedical Systems is responsible for ensuring the optimal performance of complex biomedical equipment and systems within their region. This role requires advanced technical expertise in electronics, mechanics, and computer technology.
Key Responsibilities- Install, maintain, calibrate, and repair complex biomedical equipment and systems
- Perform routine maintenance and safety inspections on equipment
- Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment malfunctions
- Manage inventory of parts and supplies
- Document all work performed in accordance with regulatory requirements
- Provide technical support and training to end-users
- Collaborate with other departments and vendors to ensure equipment is functioning properly
- Stay current with advances in technology and regulatory requirements
- Associate's degree in Biomedical Equipment Technology or related field preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in the installation, maintenance, calibration, and repair of biomedical equipment and systems
- Advanced technical knowledge and skills in electronics, mechanics, and computer technology
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and drawings
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Ability to lift and move heavy equipment
- Must pass background and drug screen.
The Biomedical Equipment Technician III will work in a variety of settings, including hospitals, clinics, and laboratories. This position may require working in confined spaces, standing for long periods of time, and lifting and moving heavy equipment.
