About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Laboratory Scientist to join our team at University Medical Center. As a Clinical Laboratory Scientist, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality laboratory testing and diagnostic services to patients. Your expertise will help us deliver accurate and timely results, enabling healthcare providers to make informed decisions about patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform a variety of laboratory tests and procedures, including blood banking, coagulation, and molecular diagnostics.
  • Ensure the accuracy and reliability of test results, adhering to established quality control and quality assurance procedures.
  • Collaborate with healthcare providers to resolve test-related issues and provide educational support.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance laboratory operations and patient care.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest laboratory technologies and techniques, applying this knowledge to improve testing processes and patient outcomes.
Requirements
  • Clinical Laboratory Generalist licensed by Louisiana State Board of Medical Examiners as CLG or CLS.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with healthcare providers and patients.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple responsibilities.
