Job Description

The Executive Housekeeping Manager plays a key role in managing site housekeeping operations, ensuring quality standards and timeliness goals are met. This position is responsible for assisting the EH in meeting budget targets and maintaining positive relationships with clients and associates.

The ideal candidate will have two years of experience directly related to the job with progressive responsibility, a proven track record of driving strong performance and key field operations metrics. Bi-lingual Spanish skills are a plus. Strong communication and organizational skills are required, along with working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.

Responsibilities
  1. Create and post schedules by 5:00 PM every Thursday; assign daily tasks and work to housekeepers, housepersons, and supervisors.
  2. Adjust work of employees based on needs, callouts, etc.
  3. Monitor daily work hours to ensure compliance with budgeted hours.
  4. Follow directives of site leader in his/her absence.
  5. Exemplify a sense of urgency with entire team to ensure all units get turned on time.
  6. Inspect rooms and common areas to ensure cleanliness standards.
  7. Retrieve housekeepers to address any areas that need to be re-cleaned.
  8. Conduct weekly report cards for housekeeping staff and MSI reports of Supervisors.
  9. Contribute to establishing a welcoming culture of engagement and inclusion.
  10. Provide timely response to associate concerns by addressing them directly or referring them to others who can assist.
  11. Provide ongoing performance feedback to Housekeepers, Housemen, and Supervisors.
  12. Consistently enforce established policies and procedures.
  13. Coach housekeepers to reach productivity standards.
  14. Assist in performance management of team members including coaching and counseling team members.
  15. Recommend discipline and termination of staff when necessary.
  16. Conduct performance reviews.
  17. Set recurring schedule for MasterTalk and STS in accordance with established SOPs; enthusiastically facilitate sessions engaging with staff at all levels.
  18. Conduct weekly training meetings with supervisors and monthly meetings with all staff.
  19. Finalize the day in the Mastermind system.
  20. Interview, select, and onboard new team members.
  21. Perform new hire orientations for new team members; ensure 7-Steps to Clean training is effectively delivered within established guidelines.
  22. Build a positive rapport with the resort management team and attend resort meetings.
  23. Manage inventory, conducting weekly inventory counts and orders replenishments.
  24. Report unit maintenance issues.
  25. Maintain vehicle maintenance logs.
  26. Assist in solving guest complaints promptly.
  27. Conduct safety meetings and ensures staff follows day-to-day safety rules and procedures.
  28. Handle workers compensation issues and reporting.
  29. Work irregular hours.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Bachelor's Degree preferred.
  • Two years of experience directly related to the job with progressive responsibility.
  • A proven track record of driving strong performance and key field operations metrics.
  • Language Skills: Effective written and verbal English communication, bi-lingual Spanish a plus.
  • Computer Skills: Working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
  • Travel: Rarely – on average 5% of travel on a quarterly basis.
