Position Overview:

We are seeking a meticulous Shipping and Receiving Specialist to enhance our team in Aurora, IL. This position is crucial for managing all shipping and receiving functions, ensuring inventory precision, and facilitating prompt product delivery to our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee shipping and receiving processes to ensure operational efficiency.
  • Maintain precise inventory documentation and organize outgoing shipments.
  • Work collaboratively with different departments to streamline the supply chain.
  • Prepare shipping documentation and keep accurate shipping logs.
  • Conduct quality checks on received goods for correctness and condition.
  • Address inquiries from customer service and sales teams.
  • Communicate updates and schedules related to shipping.
  • Ensure a tidy and organized workspace.
  • Perform additional tasks as required.

Qualifications:

  • Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Experience in shipping and receiving, ideally within a manufacturing context.
  • Familiarity with shipping laws and logistics.
  • Excellent organizational and communication abilities.
  • Detail-oriented with a strong emphasis on accuracy.
  • Able to thrive in a fast-paced setting.
  • Commitment to safety protocols and procedures.
  • Experience with FedEx Ship Manager and UPS WorldShip is preferred.
