We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Lab Phlebotomist to join our team at Millennium Physician Group. As a Lab Phlebotomist, you will play a vital role in the care of our patients by providing "painless" phlebotomy procedures and processing specimens.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide phlebotomy services to patients using universal precautions and safe work practices.
- Process specimens and maintain sample integrity by positive identification and labeling.
- Perform limited waived testing (Protimes) and instruct patients on Coumadin.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, supplies, and equipment.
- Provide excellent bedside manner and patient care.
Requirements:
- One year certificate from college or technical school; or three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Strong computer skills and knowledge of EMR systems; Athena knowledge preferred but not required.
- Ability to lift and move up to 25 pounds and stand for long periods.
