Job Description and Position Requirements:

Penn State Greater Allegheny seeks a bilingual Admissions Counselor fluent in English and Spanish to recruit students for Penn State in the Southwestern Pennsylvania region.

The successful candidate will participate in high school visits and college fairs, maintain relationships with school counselors, manage the recruitment territory from prospect to committed student, communicate with students and families throughout the admissions cycle, serve Spanish-speaking students and/or families across the region with the enrollment process, manage communication with international applicants across the region, plan and implement on-campus recruitment events, and recruit, manage and train the student ambassador group.

Position Requirements:

While the position is based at the Greater Allegheny campus in McKeesport, Pa., candidates should expect to travel throughout the Southwestern Pennsylvania region, with some evening and weekend responsibilities.

The ideal candidate will have experience with the Slate CRM, PeopleSoft SIS, and delivering presentations to teens and young adults.

Education and Experience:

Typically requires a bachelor's degree or higher plus three years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Additional Requirements:

This position requires that you operate a motor vehicle as a part of your job duties. A valid driver's license is required. Fluency in Spanish is also required.

The ASR includes crime statistics and institutional policies concerning campus security, such as those concerning alcohol and drug use, crime prevention, the reporting of crimes, sexual assault, and other matters.
