Overview


The Food Services Technician is dedicated to embodying a biblical lifestyle and is called to serve within the community of Vacaville Christian Schools.

The primary role of the Food Handler is to provide exceptional support and professionalism in the daily operations of the Food Program, ensuring a structured, positive, and Christ-centered environment for students and staff.

Vacaville Christian Schools aims to deliver a distinctive, Christ-centered education in partnership with home and church, fostering a nurturing atmosphere that prepares young individuals to excel in life and serve Jesus Christ.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Integrate Biblical principles and Christian philosophy in daily interactions with students, faculty, and parents.
  • Adhere to the Statement of Faith, Christian Role Model Expectations, and the VCS Employee Handbook, committing to uphold these standards.
  • Follow established school procedures and policies as directed by the Employer.
  • Maintain excellent communication with parents, students, and faculty to uphold the VCS standard of excellence across all performance areas.
  • Utilize necessary technology resources and applications to fulfill job responsibilities.
  • Handle confidential information professionally.
  • Ensure efficiency and provide strong customer service within the Food Service Department.
  • Prepare food for special events as required, including Staff Orientation and National Day of Prayer.
  • Prepare and cook food according to instructions and in compliance with California Retail Food and Facilities codes.
  • Shop for and stock items from local vendors.
  • Perform daily cleaning and sanitizing of equipment and work areas.
  • Be physically capable of standing for extended periods and lifting up to 25 lbs.

Personal Qualifications:

  • Demonstrate a strong commitment to the Vision, Mission, Statement of Faith, and Core Values of Vacaville Christian Schools.
  • Affirm being a follower of Jesus Christ.
  • Ability to apply the Matthew 18 Principle in interactions with leadership, faculty, administration, and parents.
  • Regular attendance at a Bible-based church.
  • Ability to navigate the school building(s) and campus.

Requirements/Qualifications:
