Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Environmental Services Technician to join our team at Northfield Hospital + Clinics. As an Environmental Services Technician, you will play a vital role in maintaining a clean, safe, and infection-free environment for patients, residents, staff, and visitors.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assemble and transport cleaning supplies to work areas.
  • Sweep, mop, scrub, vacuum, and dust mop floors to maintain a clean and safe environment.
  • Operate and maintain floor machines, sweepers, vacuums, carpet cleaning equipment, and snow blowers to ensure efficient cleaning processes.
  • Clean areas by washing furnishings, walls, ledges, toilets, basins, tubs, showers, vents, and equipment to maintain a high level of cleanliness.
  • Gather trash, nonhazardous waste, and sharps, and recyclables to maintain a clean and organized environment.
  • Handle hazardous pharmaceutical waste in accordance with hospital protocol, including transporting hazardous waste disposal containers.
  • Clean, refinish, and maintain various floor coverings to ensure a safe and clean environment.
  • Clean stains and spills, replace burnt-out lights, shovel snow, and make deliveries as needed to maintain a clean and safe environment.
  • Set up rooms for meetings to ensure a clean and organized environment.
Requirements
  • Ability to follow oral and written instructions.
  • Basic math skills.
  • Ability to lift up to 51 lbs.
  • Previous experience in custodian, housekeeping, or cleaning in a hospital or clinic setting is preferred.
Benefits
  • Competitive wages, starting at $16.50/hr-$21.31/hr.
  • Shift differential pay: evenings.80, nights 1.20.
