Job Summary:

As a Customer Service Representative at U-Haul, you will be the face of our company, providing exceptional service to customers and ensuring their rental experience is seamless. Your primary responsibilities will include assisting customers with U-Haul products and services, managing rentals and inventory using smartphone-based U-Scan technology, and performing various tasks such as moving and hooking up U-Haul trucks and trailers, cleaning and inspecting equipment, and answering customer questions.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist customers with U-Haul products and services
  • Manage rentals and inventory using U-Scan technology
  • Move and hook up U-Haul trucks and trailers
  • Clean and inspect equipment
  • Answer customer questions and provide education on products and services
  • Prepare rental invoices and accept equipment returned from rental
  • Install hitches and trailer wiring
  • Fulfill propane and drive a forklift (certification offered through U-Haul)
  • Participate in ongoing continuous education through U-Haul University

Requirements:
  • Valid driver's license and ability to maintain a good driving record
  • High school diploma or equivalent

Work Environment:

The work involves moderate risks or discomforts which require special safety precautions, e.g., working around moving parts or machines, fumes or irritant chemicals. May be required to use protective clothing or gear such as masks, goggles, gloves or shields.

Physical Demands:

The work requires some physical exertion such as long periods of remaining stationary, moving around indoors and outdoors, positioning oneself to reach objects at varying heights and moving equipment weighing a minimum of 50 lbs. assisted or unassisted.
