Meat Department Team Lead

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Meat Department Team Lead to join our team at Whole Foods Market. As a key member of our store leadership team, you will be responsible for leading and developing a high-performing team of Meat Department Team Members, ensuring exceptional customer service, and driving sales growth and profitability.
Key Responsibilities- Team Leadership: Lead and develop a team of Meat Department Team Members, providing coaching, guidance, and feedback to ensure they have the skills and knowledge needed to succeed.
- Customer Service: Ensure that every customer interaction is exceptional, responding promptly to customer needs and questions, and providing solutions to meet their needs.
- Sales and Profitability: Work with the Store Team Leader to achieve sales and profitability targets, analyzing sales data and making recommendations to improve sales and reduce waste.
- Inventory Management: Assist with ordering and inventory management, ensuring that the Meat Department is well-stocked and that inventory levels are optimized.
- Store Operations: Participate in store operations, including opening and closing procedures, and ensuring that the Meat Department is clean and organized.
- Training and Development: Provide training and development opportunities for Meat Department Team Members, ensuring that they have the skills and knowledge needed to succeed in their roles.
- Experience: 18+ months retail Team Member experience and 6+ months of supervisory experience.
- Skills: Excellent interpersonal, motivational, team building, and customer relationship skills, with the ability to teach others in a positive and constructive manner.
- Knowledge: Extensive knowledge of meat products, with a growth mindset towards greater responsibility and ownership.
- Lifting: Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
- Standing/Walking: In an 8-hour work day, standing/walking 6-8 hours.
- Hand Use: Single grasping, fine manipulation, pushing and pulling.
- Work Environment: Exposure to FDA approved cleaning chemicals, temperatures 90 degrees Fahrenheit, and ability to work in a wet and cold environment.
