Position Overview:

The HVAC Technician Specialist is a vital member of a multi-disciplinary maintenance team responsible for the upkeep and operation of HVAC systems. This role involves the installation, repair, maintenance, and inspection of heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and pneumatic systems and equipment. The technician will also manage pumps, air compressors, steam and hot water boilers, heating and boiler tubes, heat exchangers, fans, dampers, hydraulic units, as well as control and monitoring systems. Additionally, the technician will create working drawings and control diagrams for HVAC equipment, collaborating effectively with team members to provide exceptional service to the campus community.

Essential Qualifications:

  • 4-6 years of experience at the journeyman level in the HVAC industry
  • 4-6 years of experience in HVAC diagnostics and troubleshooting
  • Possession of Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Certification
  • In-depth knowledge and experience with cooling and heating systems
  • Familiarity with HVAC methodologies
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Excellent communication abilities
  • Capability to work collaboratively within a diverse team
  • Ability to operate independently
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Employment Conditions:
  • Must maintain a valid driver's license and a clean driving record
  • Must possess a valid EPA Universal Technician Certificate
  • Availability for night and weekend on-call duties
  • Successful completion of a background check
  • Adherence to a Tobacco-Free environment
Compensation: $43.89 per hour

Work Schedule: Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM
