Job Title: Civil Project Engineer III

We are seeking an experienced Civil Project Engineer III candidate to join our Stormwater Group located in our Charlotte, NC office location.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform hydrologic and hydraulic analyses to investigate storm drainage issues and support stormwater management designs.
  • Complete calculations using engineering formulas and skills, and/or utilize computers to solve problems with HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, SWMM models.
  • Provide engineering assistance for the design of stormwater control measures, stormwater retrofit designs, and other stormwater-related projects.
  • Conduct background research on technical issues and write clear reports and memorandums to convey project results to clients.
  • Assist in the preparation of engineering and construction cost estimates.
  • Participate in field data collection and construction observation duties as directed.
  • Communicate with clients and internal design teams as directed by the Project Manager.

Requirements:
  • A bachelor's or master's degree in Civil Engineering or a closely related degree.
  • Ideal candidates would have 5-8 years of water resources engineering experience, including municipal drainage, proficiency in hydrologic and hydraulic modeling.
  • A demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects at the same time.
  • Working knowledge of CADD software (Civil 3D preferred).
  • Must be dependable, responsible, and have good written/verbal communication skills.
  • Must have a valid driver's license.

Estimated Salary: $80,000 - $120,000 per year, depending on experience.
