Job Summary

Environmental Services Operations Manager

Crothall Healthcare is seeking a highly skilled Environmental Services Operations Manager to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for directing and overseeing the operational needs of the Housekeeping Department. Your primary focus will be on coordinating the tasks of front-line staff, ensuring the highest possible level of service is provided to our clients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Establish and Maintain Standards: Develop and annually review standards and work procedures for all Housekeeping staff to ensure consistency and quality in our services.
  • Work Scheduling and Staffing: Plan work and staffing schedules to ensure adequate services are rendered, taking into account the needs of our clients and the operational requirements of the department.
  • Staff Development and Training: Assist in the hiring process, including interviewing, hiring, and training of new associates, as well as orienting, developing, and supervising all supervisory and housekeeping staff.
  • Quality Control and Assurance: Conduct regular inspections and make recommendations to the facility to ensure our services meet the highest standards of quality and safety.
  • Reporting and Communication: Provide monthly reporting of goals, accomplishments, and future plans to stakeholders, as well as communicate effectively with staff, administration, and other departments to ensure seamless operations.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Education and Experience: Four-year college degree, military experience, or equivalent work experience required; at least one year of supervisory experience in housekeeping or a service-related field with high customer/client contact required.
  • Leadership and Communication Skills: Demonstrated progressive growth in the field of healthcare housekeeping or facility maintenance preferred; ability to communicate effectively in written format and oral presentations.
  • Problem-Solving and Adaptability: Ability to multi-task and establish priorities, maintain organization in a changing and stressful environment, and exhibit initiative, responsibility, flexibility, and leadership.
