Job Overview

At Barrel House, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Restaurant Operations Manager to join our team. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our restaurant, ensuring that our high standards of quality and service are consistently met.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Management
    • Provide guidance and support to our Front of House staff, ensuring that they have the skills and knowledge needed to deliver exceptional customer service.
    • Lead by example, demonstrating a strong work ethic and a commitment to excellence in all aspects of restaurant operations.
  • Quality Control
    • Ensure that our steps of service and service standards are consistently met, resulting in a positive dining experience for our guests.
    • Monitor and maintain high standards of quality in all aspects of restaurant operations, including food preparation, presentation, and service.
  • Inventory and Ordering
    • Take responsibility for managing our Front of House inventory, including ordering and stocking of supplies and equipment.
    • Work closely with our General Manager to ensure that our inventory levels are optimized and that we are minimizing waste and excess stock.
  • Training and Development
    • Develop and implement training programs to ensure that our staff have the skills and knowledge needed to deliver exceptional customer service and to meet our high standards of quality.
    • Identify areas for improvement and develop strategies to address these, resulting in improved performance and productivity.
  • Expedite and Guest Service
    • Take responsibility for expediting orders and ensuring that they are delivered to our guests in a timely and efficient manner.
    • Provide exceptional guest service, responding promptly to guest requests and resolving any issues that may arise.
  • Staff Management
    • Manage and supervise our Front of House staff, ensuring that they are working efficiently and effectively to meet our high standards of quality and service.
    • Identify areas for improvement and develop strategies to address these, resulting in improved performance and productivity.
  • Health and Safety
    • Ensure that our restaurant operations are conducted in a safe and healthy environment, complying with all relevant health and safety regulations and guidelines.
    • Monitor and maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene, ensuring that our restaurant is a clean and safe place for our guests and staff to work.
Requirements
  • Experience
    • Previous managerial or supervisory experience in a high-volume restaurant environment.
  • Skills
    • Excellent leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with staff, guests, and other stakeholders.
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a high level of energy and enthusiasm.
    • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to identify and address areas for improvement.
  • Education
    • High school diploma or equivalent required; degree in hospitality or related field preferred.
  • Other
    • Ability to work a variety of shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
    • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods of time.
    • Reliable transportation to and from work.
