Job Summary:

The Reporting Development Manager will be responsible for leading a team of reporting developers to provide technical expertise and guidance on servicing data requests from internal and external stakeholders. This position will work closely with the Servicing Technology team to help the organization meet its strategic goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical guidance and support to reporting developers on data management technologies and practices.
  • Review, prioritize, and assign data and information requests for servicing data from business lines, investor/insurers, executive teams, and clients.
  • Lead a team of onshore and offshore reporting developers by providing mentorship and support through development and utilization of reporting practices and procedures.
  • Partner with business area SMEs and stakeholders to understand data needs and ensure requirements for requests are well defined and meet the needs of the users.
  • Design reporting layouts/visualizations, ensuring the most appropriate methods and tools are used.
  • Understand upstream and downstream data flow and database architecture.
  • Design efficient, effective, and accurate queries for servicing data.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements, understand data needs, and translate them into reporting specifications.
  • Provide guidance and support to cross-functional teams in data-related matters.
  • Maintain knowledge of project management methodologies such as Agile/SAFE practices.
  • Accept other projects and assignments, as needed, without discord.

Qualifications:

  • 5-7 years of experience with web-based business intelligence tools such as Domo, Cognos, Tableau, PowerBI, SSRS, or other similar technology.
  • 5+ years of experience in the development and optimization of queries in SQL, Scala, Ruby, Python, or similar technology.
  • Knowledge of data governance principles and practices.
  • Knowledge data management, development technologies, and processes.
  • Expert understanding of relational and non-relational databases.
  • Experience working with and/or leading offshore and onshore reporting developers.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to present technical information to diverse technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Bachelor's Degree in related field or equivalent work experience strongly preferred.
  • Experience and familiarity with mortgage servicing industry terms and processes preferred.
