Behavior Therapist

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Behavior Therapist to join our team at NeurAbilities Healthcare. As a Behavior Therapist, you will work closely with children and adolescents with Autism and other neurodevelopmental disabilities, providing Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy in a 1:1 setting in clinics, homes, and schools.
Responsibilities- Implement instructional and behavior support plans, collecting pertinent data and maintaining client program books and materials.
- Establish and maintain therapeutic relationships with clients, assisting them in developing independent daily living, social, and communication skills.
- Prompt safe and socially acceptable replacement behaviors using ABA therapy strategies, following treatment plan goals and interventions.
- Collaborate with family and treatment team members to provide effective treatment, educating all involved about the role of ABA-based interventions.
- Utilize call-out lines and procedures to document client cancellations and report availability for sub-hours to the Practice Manager or Client Services Coordinator.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Six months of experience working with children and adolescents with Autism and other developmental disabilities is preferred.
- Ability to communicate well and thrive in both individual and team environments.
- Ability to remain patient and calm when encountering challenging behaviors.
- Must be able to travel to all service locations, including school, daycare, clinic, and home settings.
