The A&P Quality Assurance Specialist will embody the organization's principles by consistently adhering to the ethical standards set forth by the company. Demonstrates sound judgment and articulates the rationale behind decisions while involving relevant stakeholders in the decision-making process. Provides support and assistance to colleagues and actively seeks to resolve conflicts as they arise. The A&P Quality Assurance Specialist champions and endorses company policies, including but not limited to product safety, safe operational practices, and compliance with OSHA, EPA, and local regulations. Reports any potentially hazardous conditions to the Crew Chief or a Senior Inspector as necessary.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct thorough inspections of various aircraft types (including engines, electrical systems, structures, controls, environmental systems, landing gear, and accessories) before, during, and after maintenance to ensure adherence to FAA regulations, production approval standards, and military specifications.

• Assess the serviceability of aircraft systems, components, and parts utilizing precision measuring tools, gauges, instruments, and non-destructive testing methods (if certified).

• Perform preliminary, hidden damage, in-process, and final inspections of all items repaired, maintained, inspected, or modified by the facility.

• Ensure compliance with all relevant Federal Aviation Regulations (FARs), Quality Procedures (QPs), and Local Work Instructions.

• Provide procedural guidance to technicians and delegated inspectors. Mentor and assist technicians in proper work methodologies and practices.

• Oversee ongoing work to guarantee that appropriate documentation, procedures, techniques, and methods outlined in maintenance manuals, overhaul manuals, approved engineering documents, and other FAA sanctioned data are adhered to.

• Record inspection outcomes in inspection documentation and logbooks. Conduct a final review of work order documentation prior to the release of articles. Ensure that the work performed is accurately documented on the work order.

• Investigate logbooks and prepare logbook entries and sign-offs for Return to Service (RTS) approval. Certify any article maintained or modified by the facility as airworthy concerning the work performed. Authorize aircraft for return to service upon completion of maintenance or alterations. Report any conditions that may adversely affect the airworthiness of an article under repair or modification to the Quality Leader.

• Stay informed on the scope of required maintenance and inspections for clients and coordinate efforts to ensure timely turnaround.

• Uphold and comply with all safety, environmental, and general housekeeping policies.

Position Requirements:

• High School diploma or GED equivalent is required.

• A valid FAA Airframe and Powerplant certificate is mandatory.

• Minimum of 5 years of experience as an A&P Mechanic is required, with a focus on corporate aviation.

Eligibility Requirements:

• Must be capable of lifting up to 30 pounds occasionally.

• Must possess the ability to think clearly and communicate effectively both on the phone and in person.

• Excellent hand-eye coordination is essential.

• Must have 20/20 vision (corrected if necessary).

• Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills are necessary to interact with customers and team members.

• Must be authorized to work in the U.S.

Desired Qualifications:

• NDT certification is preferred.
