Position Summary

As a Senior Consultant, you will bring a diverse range of expertise to guide clients through the implementation, optimization, and enhancement of their Epic systems. Collaborating with healthcare professionals, IT teams, and various stakeholders, you will ensure the effective utilization of the Epic system, streamline clinical and administrative workflows, and enhance patient care outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the implementation of Epic systems, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and clinical workflows.
  • Customize and configure Epic modules to fulfill the specific needs of various departments.
  • Conduct thorough system testing and validation to guarantee functionality and data integrity.
  • Identify opportunities for system enhancements and optimizations to boost efficiency and user satisfaction.
  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance to end-users.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for system configurations, processes, and training materials.
  • Design and deliver training programs for healthcare providers and staff on utilizing the Epic EHR System.
  • Create user guides, manuals, and other educational resources to facilitate learning and adoption.
  • Coordinate and manage project timelines, resources, and deliverables throughout implementation and optimization projects.
  • Collaborate closely with project leadership, including documentation and facilitation efforts.
  • Engage directly with Epic end-users to monitor workflows, provide documentation, and suggest optimization strategies.

Required Experience:

  • Possession of at least one Epic certification.
  • Prior experience in implementing Epic systems, with build experience highly preferred.
  • Full life cycle project implementation experience in Cadence, Prelude, Grand Central, Referrals, Care Everywhere, HIM, Welcome, or Kiosk.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience utilizing Epic modules with extensive knowledge of its products and solutions.
  • Proficiency in Epic system configuration and support.
  • A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in the healthcare industry.
  • Strong project management capabilities with the ability to handle multiple tasks and deadlines; PMP certification is a plus.
  • Willingness and ability to travel weekly when necessary, with some high-level services provided remotely.
  • Current permanent U.S. work authorization is required.

Preferred Experience:

  • Undergraduate degree (e.g., BA, BS).
  • Previous consulting experience.

The estimated base hourly rate for Epic Senior Consultants varies based on experience, project engagement, and client expectations. The actual rate paid will depend on various factors, including specific skills or certifications, years of experience, market changes, and required travel. This position is eligible for Huron's benefit plans, which include medical, dental, and vision coverage, along with other wellness programs.
