Job Overview

North Coast Container, a leading manufacturer of industrial steel drum packaging solutions, is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join its team. As a key member of the maintenance department, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our manufacturing facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Preventative Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance tasks to prevent equipment breakdowns and ensure optimal performance.
  • Machinery Troubleshooting: Identify and respond promptly to machinery malfunctions, implementing corrective action to minimize downtime.
  • Repair and Fabrication: Perform repairs on mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic machinery, as well as fabricate metal components as needed.
  • Welding and Cutting: Perform welding (Stick, ARC, and MIG) and plasma torch cutting tasks to support maintenance and fabrication activities.
  • Machine Operation: Operate machinery safely and efficiently, following established procedures and guidelines.
  • Training and Development: Work with and may train new maintenance mechanics to ensure a smooth transition of knowledge and skills.
Requirements
  • 2+ years' experience with mechanical and electrical troubleshooting and repair of hydraulic/pneumatic machinery.
  • Ability to read basic blueprints.
  • Welding experience (Stick, ARC, and MIG) is required.
  • Fabrication experience is desired.
  • Union membership is required upon hire.
