Job Title: Diesel Mechanic Technician

We are seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic Technician to join our team at Ryder System. As a Diesel Mechanic Technician, you will be responsible for performing routine maintenance and repairs on heavy-duty trucks and equipment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, brake and tire work, and other preventative maintenance activities.
  • Diagnose and repair complex mechanical issues with diesel engines, including AC, electrical systems, and other components.
  • Conduct inspections and repairs on vehicle systems, including brakes, suspension, and steering.
  • Utilize diagnostic tools and software to identify and repair issues with vehicle systems.
  • Work independently and as part of a team to complete repairs and maintenance tasks.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Vocational or technical certification in diesel mechanics or a related field preferred.
  • Basic tools required.
  • Three (3) years or more relevant work experience preferred.
  • Valid Commercial Driver License (CDL) CLASS A preferred.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
