About the Role:

As a Pharmacy Technician at BrightSpring Health Services, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional customer service and meeting the pharmacy needs for hospitals, rehabilitation facilities, long-term acute care centers, and other specialized care centers nationwide.

Key Responsibilities:

• Enter data into computer systems to fill prescriptions and obtain reimbursement/payment, utilizing knowledge of drugs, medical nomenclature, and the metric system

• Read and input written prescriptions and medical data, including performing drug calculations and interpreting physicians' orders into the computerized medical order system

• Perform computer system operations, which may include order entry, billing, crediting, and updating medical records

• Input daily orders (new and refills)

• Audit input versus documentation and make corrections as required

• Generate reports as needed

• Identify and resolve issues of denials or follow-up of claims, by maintaining current knowledge of Medicaid claim regulations and processes

Requirements:

• High School Diploma or equivalent; National PTCB Technician Certification desired

• One year experience in data entry in a long-term care pharmacy

• Ability to communicate effectively, work as a member of a team, recognize and identify patient medications

• Skilled in operating a computer

• Skilled in performing detailed work

• Knowledge of Medicaid claims regulations and processes
