Arnot Health is seeking a skilled Patient Care Technician to join our team. As a Patient Care Technician, you will play a vital role in providing quality patient care, assisting with daily tasks, and promoting a positive patient experience.
Key Responsibilities- Assist with daily patient care activities, including bathing, mouth care, hair care, and toileting assistance.
- Provide emotional support and comfort to patients, including positioning, lifting, and transfers.
- Collect and process patient specimens, including blood, urine, and stool samples.
- Monitor and record patient vital signs, including temperature, pulse, respirations, and blood pressure.
- Assist with post-mortem care and maintain a clean and safe environment.
- High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
- Previous experience or job knowledge in patient care or a related field.
- Nursing aide training required.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 90 days of hire date.
Good physical and mental health required due to long periods of standing and walking. Manual dexterity necessary for handling instruments and equipment. Visual and aural acuity required to make adequate observations of patient's condition.
