Store Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Store Manager to join our team at Express. As a Store Manager, you will be responsible for driving and guiding all aspects of the customer experience and store operations, while identifying, developing, and leading talent and teaching for the store team.
Key Responsibilities- Talent Development:
- Attract, develop, and retain top talent
- Support an environment that encourages high store morale
- Focus all store associates on creating a teamwork-driven environment
- Coach, teach, recognize, and manage performance and development for all store associates
- Build a succession plan for all roles
- Identify and nurture high-performing store associates
- Customer and Associate Experience:
- Build a store environment that consistently delivers exceptional customer experiences
- Lead, model, teach, and coach for consistent customer engagement
- Create a culture of proactive customer engagement
- Display expert knowledge of product, company policies, promotions, and loyalty programs
- Provide leadership on product launches, window changes, visual presentation standards, and signage placement
- Resolve customer complaints to a positive outcome
- Execution:
- Analyze the business and execute clear action plans that optimize results
- Manage all aspects of daily store operations
- Ensure all store associates have clarity on goals and action plans
- Direct workload and ensure execution of plans and strategies across the store
- Ensure adherence to Company Policies and the safety of store associates and customers
- Direct merchandise flow, including shipment, replenishment, and omni-channel operations
- Three to five years of previous store management experience, including responsibility for annual sales volume of $3 million plus
- Proven ability to increase sales and store profitability
- Proven ability to network, recruit, interview, train, develop, and promote associates
- Ability to travel periodically for meetings
- Ability to move medium to large items weighing up to 50 pounds
- Previous retail experience
- Ability to effectively communicate with customers, peers, and supervisors
- Demonstrated sales accountability
- Collaborative and respectful team member
- Ability to multitask and handle multiple customers and/or processes at once
