Director of Development and Communications

Tanzanian Children's Fund (TCF) is seeking a seasoned professional to lead our development and communications efforts in the United States. As Director of Development and Communications, you will be responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive fundraising strategy, cultivating relationships with major donors, and managing our external communications.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Fundraising and Donor Stewardship: Design and implement a strategic fundraising plan, focusing on major donors and global institutions, to drive engagement and retention.
  • Database and CRM Management: Manage our donor database, monitor fundraising data, and analyze performance to inform strategies.
  • Communications: Develop and execute an effective external communications strategy, creating high-quality materials, including email news flashes, blog posts, and annual reports.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree required, Master's degree preferred.
  • 5-8 years of experience in fundraising, with a proven track record of success.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling messages.
  • Flexibility and ability to handle multiple tasks concurrently.
  • Attention to detail and ability to work autonomously.
