The Senior Windows Infrastructure Engineer is tasked with the installation and upkeep of environments utilizing Microsoft Windows on HPE servers, HP workstations, and the M365 enterprise suite.

Support extends to various third-party Windows-based applications that are essential for critical business operations across client Data Centers, Corporate Headquarters, Corporate Innovation Centers, and Manufacturing Facilities.

The Sr.

Windows Infrastructure Engineer will engage in all aspects of infrastructure lifecycle management, executing administrative tasks such as server provisioning, virtualization, backup and recovery, disaster recovery planning, patch management, and system security.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate as part of a team to ensure the availability and proper functioning of Windows infrastructure and operating systems to support business applications.
  • Document processes and update standards for newly implemented or modified systems and environments.
  • Respond to system alerts and participate in a 24x7 on-call support rotation.
  • Review Microsoft security notifications and apply updates as necessary.
  • Collect and analyze performance and capacity metrics, reporting on key indicators.
  • Proactively monitor systems to detect hardware and software issues, providing solutions before failures occur.
  • Design and implement solutions to address business challenges and seize new opportunities.
  • Prepare for disaster recovery and ensure that backups are conducted and verified.
  • Troubleshoot software, hardware, and network issues.
  • Conduct Proof of Concepts for new software and hardware solutions.
  • Establish and maintain security and integrity controls.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related discipline.
  • A minimum of 8-10 years of experience in IT Operations.
  • Expertise in Active Directory, Domain Controllers, Group Policy, and DNS.
  • Proficient in Exchange and M365.
  • Skilled in PowerShell and scripting for creating, modifying, and executing scripts.
  • Experience with email protection systems; familiarity with Proofpoint Email Protection is advantageous.
  • Background in the implementation and management of hyper-converged infrastructure.
  • Proficient in the implementation and support of Virtual Desktop Infrastructure operating Windows OS.
  • Experience in managing backup and recovery solutions to ensure data integrity and business continuity.
  • Familiarity with Windows file hierarchy, command line interface, and network services.
  • Strong problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills.
