About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Respiratory Care Specialist PRN to join our team at Medical City Arlington. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide respiratory care services to patients, including electrocardiograms, non-invasive therapy, and equipment maintenance.

Responsibilities

  • Perform patient assessments, including breath sounds, airway patency, and cuff pressure.
  • Conduct diagnostic procedures to evaluate the need for and response to respiratory therapy.
  • Assist with placement of artificial airways and initiate, monitor, and maintain mechanical ventilation.
  • Administer respiratory care therapies, including oxygen delivery, aerosol medication delivery, and chest physiotherapy.
  • Prepare and operate clinical equipment and circuitry per ECMO policies/procedures.

Requirements

  • Basic Cardiac Life Support certification within 30 days of employment start date.
  • High School Graduate/GED.
  • Vocational School Graduate or Associate Degree.
  • American Red Cross or American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • RRT within 90 days after graduation.
  • RCP licensure by TMB within 90 days after graduation.
