Job Summary

As a Certified Pharmacy Technician at Corewell Health, you will work under the supervision of a Pharmacist to prepare, store, distribute, and dispense prescriptions.

This role involves rotation through IV admixture and unit dose service within the hospital, as well as potential rotation to OR Pharmacy Services and Outpatient Pharmacy Services.

Responsibilities:

\u2022 Filling medication orders including oral, injectable, topical medications, and intravenous admixtures
\u2022 Assisting in the bulk manufacturing of special pharmaceutical products
\u2022 Preparing and distributing floor stock items
\u2022 Performing inventory tasks and restocking shelves
\u2022 Entering charges and credits into the computer system for all medications and IV admixtures dispensed
\u2022 Distributing prepared medications to patient care areas and other departments
\u2022 Answering phone calls and assisting at the Pharmacy window
\u2022 Performing necessary record-keeping functions

Qualifications:

\u2022 High school diploma or GED
\u2022 Experience with sterile compounding and/or completion of an ASHP accredited technician training program
\u2022 State of Michigan Pharmacy Technician or Pharmacist Intern license required

Physical Demands:

\u2022 Various physical demands including standing, walking, and occasional lifting
