Talent Development Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled Talent Development Manager to join our team at a prominent law firm in New York City.
About the Role:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive talent development strategy to support the Corporate Finance and Securities practice group.
- Work closely with the Staffing Partner(s) to coordinate the assignment of Associates to ongoing and new matters.
- Collaborate with Partners to ensure that appropriate developmental and training messages are given during Associate performance evaluations.
- Be familiar with the Associates' reviews, their matters, workloads, and professional development goals.
- Counsel Associates on their career goals and provide guidance on their professional development.
- Work closely with the Training Partner(s) and the Professional Development team to create and implement a multi-tiered transactional training program.
- Help develop and facilitate ad hoc events to foster greater cohesion and communication within the Department.
- Manage the onboarding of lateral and first-year Associates and exit procedures for departing associates.
Requirements:
- JD degree required.
- Four to eight years of law firm or other relevant experience, with capital markets experience strongly preferred.
- Strong interpersonal, presentation, communication, and organizational skills.
- High responsiveness to time-sensitive issues.
- Flexibility with respect to working hours.
- In-person attendance on a hybrid schedule is expected.
- The position is eligible for a discretionary annual bonus.
