Physical Therapist II

As a Physical Therapist II at Kaiser Permanente, you will play a vital role in the management of physical therapy services for our members. Under the direction and supervision of the Rehabilitation Manager, you will be responsible for providing high-quality physical therapy care that meets the needs of our diverse patient population. This position requires a strong commitment to delivering exceptional patient care, while also ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and Kaiser Permanente's policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities:- Conduct thorough assessments of members' impairments, functional limitations, and participation barriers to develop effective treatment plans.
- Administer physical therapy interventions to improve members' functional abilities and reduce disability.
- Collaborate with members, families, and caregivers to establish goals and develop home exercise programs.
- Regularly evaluate the effectiveness of treatment plans and make adjustments as needed.
- Provide accurate and timely documentation of physical therapy services.
- Supervise the care delivered by Physical Therapist Assistants (PTAs) as required by jurisdictional regulations.
- Maintain safe and clean work environments, and ensure that departmental supplies, equipment, and apparatus are in good working order.
- Participate in staff development and mentoring activities to enhance clinical skills and knowledge.
- Engage in community activities and member education to promote health and wellness.
- Minimum three (3) years of full-time practice as a licensed Physical Therapist in a clinical setting.
- Graduate of an accredited physical therapy curriculum with a bachelor's, master's, or doctoral degree and certification in physical therapy or a foreign-trained equivalent.
- Physical Therapy Direct Access Certification (Virginia) within 6 months of hire.
- Physical Therapist License (District of Columbia) within 6 months of hire.
- PECOS Enrollment within 1 month of hire.
- Basic Life Support from American Heart Association.
- National Provider Identifier.
- Postgraduate degree from an accredited university with a specialty focus.
- Fellowship or certificate from an accredited body or organization in a subject matter relevant to our member population.
- Expertise in a clinical subject matter in high demand or with limited resources on staff.
- Demonstrated leadership skills and problem-solving abilities in the clinic and with members.
- Evidence of involvement in staff development and mentoring.
